The business consists of; Alan Murphy (know to everyone as Spud) who has many years of experience restoring and building furniture to a consistently very high standard. Spud is ably assisted in the workshop by our skilled craftsmen, Alan Wells (who has been with Pinewood for more years than he cares to remember!), and David Atkins (lead guitarist extraordinaire). Last but not at all least, is Maree (Spud’s wife), whose repetoire includes customer relations, artistic input, upholstery and project management (nagging).

Over the years we have developed a large and loyal customer base who, like us, believe that furniture should be strong, solid and beautiful and, with this in mind, our work has developed through customer demand. As such we ensure that all our furniture is strong, solid and beautiful. In order to add that extra character that makes all our pieces unique, all our furniture is built with reclaimed timber sourced as locally as possible, bringing a history with it (as well as a touch of eco-friendliness).
